The William J. Clinton Presidential Center : Building a bridge to the 21st century - SIGNED and inscribed - Limited "Glass" edition of 75 copies
Personalized by Clinton, dated December 2006, the month of issue of the book. "To Harold Snyder with thanks Bill Clinton".
This is the very highly exclusive version of the book The William J. Clinton Presidential Center: Building a Bridge to the 21st Century, produced for the Center's opening and for major donors. Only 75 copies were made, in a custom glass and metal slipcase, and as such it is incredibly ultra-rare - the Holy Grail of Clinton book collecting, as no other copies appear to have ever made it to market. It's been referred to as the phantom edition, as it is never seen. Prior descriptions have tended to be theoretical, and as such inaccurate. The use of glass in the packaging was intended to reflect the "transparency" and "future-focused" themes of the library's design.
This copy is inscribed and signed by President Clinton to Harold Snyder (1922-2008), industrialist, philanthropist, and important pioneer in bringing generic drugs to the masses as founder of Biocraft Labs. A fantastic association copy with an industrial titan.
The significance of this association cannot be overstated, as it represents the literal "Bridge to the 21st Century" connection between government and industry that defined Clinton's economic legacy. The other 74 copies of this limited edition likely went to other titans of industry, world leaders or wealthy donors, for whom it was specifically made - so it is highly unlikely that any of those copies will ever be on the market, at any price.
Provenance: From the library of Tamar Hirscl, wife of Harold Snyder.
Price: $10,000.00
